How-To Add a Base Class

apparently I have no tutorial files in my program to help me with this. If I just try to open the .dat file, my computer gives me errors.

At the moment I'm trying to put in the Dragon Shaman from PHB2. Then I will likely want to put in a new race, Snow Elf, from Frostburn.

is there anywhere to get a blank file to put info into, or one someone could send me that I can edit. And maybe a step by step on how to edit.

The help file is a html file, not a .dat. Open the editor and press the question button in the top right.

In the editor, you simply tell it to create a new file - that's how to get a blank file.

Open the editor, then go to the "Help" menu at the top-right. That will
open the editor manual, and let you view the tutorials.

File -> New will create a blank file.
