How Much Does It Cost?

I have to admit I'm more than a little disappointed that purchasing Hero Lab is such an obtuse and difficult process. But with a distinct lack of meaningful competition for Hero Lab, I keep coming back to this program.

So, if I want to buy Hero Lab, using the Pathfinder Game entry path, and all of the splat book information, but NOT anything Third Party, how much is it going to cost me?

The fact that I can't see this information quickly and easily without already dropping thirty dollars on the program is, frankly, ridiculous.

No, sitting here with a calculator and trying to guess at what exactly each package contains and what packages are duplicates of other things is not helpful or I wouldn't be asking on the forums. No online purchasing system should actively disable me from finding out how much something costs.

I started off with the basic program, and the hardcover books which were available at the time.

Anytime a new hardcover came out, I would add that, and periodically would add other softcover books.

Eventually they released the option to purchase everything that would be released during a calendar year, sans adventure paths. I really like that option, and had all of the options, by the time this became an option, so this is a ways to keep current without having to buy each thing as it is released.

You don't have to buy everything immediately. And if you have the time, you can code/data-enter a large amount by yourself, whatever you're interested in next. I prefer to buy the package, as a few bucks is worth less to me than the hours it would take to enter a book, but doing it yourself is still a (free) option to consider.

Core plus the hardcover books, would get you a large portion of the game.

I run HL Pathfinder almost entirely with just the Core Rulebook. That's $30.
So starting out will cost you $30 as stated on the web.

Since I'm a GM, I also bought a package that contained the Bestiarys (1-3, for another $30). Whether you spend anything else or not is entirely up to you and what you require.
I think LW's web page is fairly well laid out and details what they offer and costs quite clearly. It's all there to see quickly and easily without requiring any expenditure up front.

honestly the link provided http://www.wolflair.com/hero-lab-pricing/pathfinder-rpg-packages/
is pretty definitive. The only duplication that I can see is in the sections where the 'bundles' of Campaign Settings and Player Companions are listed and the individual packages are listed just below those.

Their Pathfinder pricing is pretty straightforward if you look at it - Hero Lab with PF included is $29.99. The additional Paizo PF hardcover book packages are $9.99 each (only difference is Bestiary 1 - $14.99, but you can buy Bestiaries 1-3 in a bundle for $29.99). Adventure path packages are $24.99. Player Companions and Campaign Settings are all $4.99.

I don't really see that as too hard to figure out. Not trying to sound like a jerk, but the way that LWD does their licensing makes it necessary to add the packages on after you purchase HL and the PF game system. I don't see how you are being 'actively disabled' from seeing the pricing of the packages or what is in them.
