M&M 3rd ed. How do you change power level?

I want to create a quick PL9 paragon, so I've loaded the archetype, but it's PL10. How do I change the PL? The PL setting in 'configure hero' is gone when I load an archetype.

Thanks!

You were on the right track. Go to 'Configure Hero' and change the drop-down selection found below 'player name' from 'Create NPC - no PL/PP limits' to 'Create PC - blah, blah, PL/PP, blah blah, etc.' and the PL level with the 'increase/decrease' arrowheads will appear. Thus, you'll be able to lower the Paragon's PL from 10 to 9 with a single click.

:) Which will likely take you over your caps for PL 9. There was an attempt at creating an automated way to move PL up and down, but it turned out to not work as well as planned.

Presuming that Stephen is the GM and that he's running a PL 9 game, he can just ignore the 'red flag' warnings. If he's running a PL 10 game and simply wanted to import the PL 9 Paragon to be an NPC ally or foe, then once again, I think all will be well by his simply ignoring any onscreen warnings of caps that are busted & simply make the appropriate adjustments 'on the fly' as he presents the character to the players.

Now, if he's a player, then I think that there should be some 'sit down, look it over & talk about it' time between he and the GM.
