Does anyone know (EXACTLY) how do I add Catfolk Race traits to hero labs I am if allowed wanting to take the Adopted Trait as it ties in nicely with my characters background but I can't see any cat folk racial traits listed on my hero labs

is there a module I need to activate or purchase that does this ?

Can you provide us with more detail on what your trying to add? IE the exact name and source book its from.

Are you talking about "Racial Traits" or "Race Traits"? Despite the confusing names, they aren't the same thing. Adopted gives you access to a Race trait, not a Racial Trait.

To expand on what charlieluce said...

Racial Traits are the abilities like Low-Light Vision, bonuses to ability scores, Dwarves' Stonecunning, and so on.

Race Traits are the Race-specific category of Traits, among the other groups like Religious, Faith, Social, Combat, Campaign, Magic, etc., that are like "half-feats".

Benefit: As a result, you picked up a race trait from your adoptive parents and society, and may immediately select a race trait from your adoptive parents’ race.

hardly took any effort to google for adopted pathfinder

What Minous said above here & just below my original post is what I am trying to find out so I know what to add myself so I can get it to appear in Hero Labs

I am wanting to add a list into Hero Labs of all the Cat Folk Race Traits

So you are asking FOR a list of Race Traits for Catfolk... NOT how to use the Editor to enter some yourself.

There are not many. I see 3 in HeroLab. looking quickly.
Jungle Opportunist from Inner Sea Races
Canopy Prowner and Inquisitive Banterer from Dirty Tactics Toolbox

None of these appear to be listed on d20pfsrd's list.

Catfolk are not a major race. There may be more, but it is quite possible that those 3 are the only ones.

Knows more what? I am sorry I am lost on what your asking or needing help with. Several people have tried to "interpret" what your asking but you have not actually been clear yet.

Until you do that I don't think anyone can help you without guessing.... :(

If I've understood correctly...

A quick check of d20PFSRD shows only Canopy Prowler and Inquisitive Banterer, so Silveras has found one that's not even on one of the generally accepted sources.

So, assuming you want access to the three traits that Silveras found, you need to either:

1) Purchase the data packages which have Inner Sea Races and the Dirty Tactics Toolbox and have them active on the character.
2) Input the traits yourself.

There are people here who can help with either of those options (though I must say, Option 2 is the tougher choice).

this person managed to understand it is not difficult :P

one of my previous replies even said

it is very clear if people looked back & read it all :-)

I do not know that there are any more at this time. That's what I meant by Catfolk not being a major race -- they have not had much attention paid to them so far.

Okay, Burj, now you're being condescending.

We know how the adopted trait works.

We know that there are three race traits specifically for catfolk in Hero Lab. we've even told you what they are and what books they're in.

We know that there are no more traits specifically for catfolk in official Paizo products.

What we don't know is what "more" you want, because your request can be interpreted as any of:

1) The answer Silveras gave you
2) A misunderstanding by you about the difference between race traits and racial traits
3) A request for help inputting traits into the HL editor

And "read my posts" doesn't explain which.

So, at the risk of sounding condescending myself, which of those three is it?

The way I am reading your post it boils down to:

1. Not use the editor
2. Find the supplements you might need to get all the Catfolk Race traits (not racial ones seeing that isn't allowed by adopted)

Well as for the answer comes down to what Silveras has said. But just for future reference I will leave a link here where you can find yourself what supplement you might have to buy for future such traits.

If you go here: Archives of Nethys Race Traits
You can use ctrl+f to search for in this case Catfolk and it will show which source that trait comes from. After that go to here and select "Purchase Optional Data Packages for License".
When you get there use ctrl+f again to search for the source you found at AoN and purchase it.

When you have done this you need to reactivate your license in Hero Lab.
License -> Reactivate License
And for existing portfolios you will need to select the supplement in "Configure Hero".
Character -> Configure Hero or ctrl+k in the portfolio

After which you will be able to find the newly acquired content in the respective areas.

Sadly, HeroLab also mis-uses the term "Racial" for the Race Traits, so that doesn't help dispelling the confusion.
