SR 5th ed. Houserules?

There are a couple of things you can do;

Use the *Preclude tab in the editor to hide them when a specific character setting is turned on.

Use the *Hidden tab in the editor to hide those items completely.

Make copies of those items, and make your copies replacements, and change their settings so they're marked as invalid.

Sounds like I'll need a mix of options 1 and 2. I've seen the preclude tab, but it's calling for a source? I assume I can just pick core and roll with it?

If you want to use precludes, I'd create a new source; "Mathias' campaign house rules" for example. The your players can turn that on when they're playing a game under these rules, and leave it turned off when playing SRM or in another campaign.

Are you creating any new items for your campaign? If so, sources are the next-to-last entry on every editor tab.

If not, go to the General grouping, Simple tab, and create an item called "Mathias' Campaign Helper" (or whatever's appropriate for your campaign), and put a source on that. The item will never get used anywhere - it's just serving as a place to define the source.

Then, use the Test Now! button on that item to add it (and its source) to the active database, and then you'll be able to use that source in your Precludes.
