HL Pathfinder Updates

Random question just curious about since I'm a new member of the HL community. How often on average is HL updated?

Usually once a month, around when paizo does it's monthly release. Sometimes more, depending on if we introduce a serious bug which needs immediate squashing, or if paizo announces a sudden playtest thing.

Just to be clear this question was Aaron assuming you mean Pathfinder. So Hero Lab has two sides to it. Hero Lab the software that is written to run in Windows/Mac and is the one that when it updates requires you get a new License key from the server. Then you have the Game system side that is written in a type of XML and can be updated without requiring you to update your License from the LW server.

So the Game System can be totally updated/changed without need of any update to the Hero Lab software. Some times a new version of Pathfinder requires a new version of the Hero Lab Software.

The Hero Lab software itself is updated as needed with new features or major bugs fixes.

Ah, thank you for the answers. It clarifies how often I should look for an update to the Pathfinder files and the Hero Lab software. ;-)

The software automatically checks for updates on load anyway, and will tell you when there are updates available to the software and to the data package (e.g. pathfinder).

Also worth noting there are a number of community resources available, which also get regular updates.
