HL jacking up the price of my vehicle

So I purchased a Horizon Doble Revolution for my elf (low lifestyle, one identity) shaman at a price of 8000 nuyen. I added a morphing license plate at a price of 1000 and two spoof chips at 500 each, or 1000. Later on I keep getting warnings that I've overspent resource karma, went through dumping gear left right and center only to find out somehow the prices jacked all the way up to 27500 for the Horizon. How did this happen? I dropped the vehicle, repurchased it at 8000 added the morphing license 1000, then later on, it jacked up to 10000 nuyen.
note: I haven't added any other modifications to this vehicle
