Hit Points Option

Well-known member
i noticed that the hit points option for M&M doesn't calculate into the characters hit point total the 1d6 per power lvl. We have clicked the hit points option, just not showing up on the character. Is there a way to make this show up?

Also wanted to create a feat or power that characters can put ranks in to gain a d6 per rank to up there hit points... is this possible?

If anyone can help that would be great.
Thanks
Frodie

Quoting from the Mastermind's Manual:

Characters in this system have hit points, which are a measure of
the character’s capacity to take damage. Characters have hit points
equal to their Constitution score plus their Constitution bonus multiplied
by 3. So a Con 10 character has 10 hit points and a Con 30
character has 60 hit points. Characters with no Con score have hit
points equal to five times their Toughness. Minions have half the
normal hit points of regular characters; determine the minion’s hit
point total normally, then divide it by two and round down.

So, there is no random element to the Hit Points option presented in the Mastermind's Manual. To improve your Hit Points, you simply increase your Con score (which is governed by Power Level, so maxes out based on that).

Cool, I'll let our new GM know. We just are starting a M&M game and he wanted to use HP like 3.5.
BTW - Thank you!

No worries. Though I'd personally push for using the system without Hit points, but that's me. I can't STAND them. :)

Personally, I love Hero Points. Now Hit Points on the other hand... :) I don't think the system is really built for them. It would be like playing Shadowrun and insisting on THAC0.

D'oh, thanks for catching that, Duggan. I'm at work and trying to multitask. Obviously not doing a great job. :)

Original post fixed.
