High Elf Swordmaster Honor

When I add the swordmaster honor to my high elf hero, it bumps his strength up to 6. When I add a great weapon, he goes to strength 8!!!
 
The Swordmaster Honour gives you a free Great Weapon, so you shouldnt take an additional one. It should be greyed out, maybe?
