Hiding portals on Buy template based on things properties

I want to hide the rating portals based on if the thing in question has or doesn't have a rating.
I thought of doing this by passing within a field in Transact but I'm getting an error when I access the field within position.
Is there some other location I need to hide the portals?

I'm using a label and incrementer
