Hiding a skill

Is there a way to hide a skill from the skill list and have it show up when I boot strap it to a faction - my factions are professions and I don't want characters to be able to pick it. I only want the professions I give it to to have it

I made my own skills for my setting and hid the stock skills I'm not using. Now I have made some skills that are given by Professions only and if you didn't take those professions you can not get them, but if you took the profession they will show up in the skills and you can raise them. I just don't want them to show up on the skills list to be able to be picked, in other words I want them hidden as a choice on the skills table but to show up on a characters skill area if they take that profession and be able to raise them from there. I know how to do it in the pathfinder files but not here - I don't even know if it is possible to do these game system files.

Being able to do this would also be relevant to doing a Shaintar setting file. I was looking at doing that setting but notice that for that setting you should not be allowed to select an Arcane Background directly, but rather they expect you to take a Professional Edge that then give you the Arcane Background. So being able to hide those as a selectable edge but still have them show up when selected through another Edge would be an important aspect of setting up a file for that game system, so I'm pretty interested in seeing if there is a way to do this as well.

That makes it easy. I think what you're after is a containerreq. Take a look at how the various arcane skills are set up.
