Hero Points

Sorry to ask this another way but what prevents you from adding to it now? When I last looked it at was simply a Tracker Thing. Have you tried to add to it and gotten an error message or something?

Yea, it seems to have no effect on the score. I even tried the feats that change it, (like Hero's Furtune), with no luck. I know the tracker is abHeroP, but what ever I use to adjust it will not show up.

I can make another tracker and everything is fine, but for some reason the only way to adjust it is manually. IDK

yep tried all the phases at 20000, still nothing. It's weird, there is a tracker for it (abHeroP), but it will not go up in level or let anything adjust it.

I tried a mech and replaced the Hero Points, but still no go. IDK Seems to be someting that isn't working in the program.

I think I found the issue, but I am not sure how to fix it.

Hero Points will work with a class that is came withing HL, but will not work with a custom class. Any ideas?

Any information?

Please describe exactly what problems you're having - "will not work with" doesn't give me any leads to follow in figuring out what you're trying to do, how you're trying to go about it, or what problems you're running into.

If it is a custom class it stays at 1, will not go up with level, adjustable, etc

If it is not a custom class, it goes up in level, adjustable, etc.

Without being able to look it sounds like there is something bootstrapped to the CORE classes in HL that changes the values on the Hero Point tracker. Have you taken a look at a copy of a say a core class like Fighter to see if it has a bootstrap of some kind that adjusts the Hero Points?

Yea that is what I was thinking, I did bookstrap it to the class, but it just adds another Hero Point field that is not adjustable also.
I have it as a seaperat tracker, so it's not that big deal, but it would be nice if the correct one would work.

Are you testing your custom class on an NPC, or on a minion (an animal companion, familiar, or a hireling added on the Other tab)?

You've verified that the "Advanced Player's Guide Hero Points" source is active on your test character, right?

There's nothing in the Hero Points code that is trying to interact with classes - the only things it's looking up are whether or not the character is an NPC or a PC, whether it's a master/minion, and whether the Antihero box on the configure hero form has been checked.

IDK, I can't get to work at all. Maybe it's me, lol. I think I'll just leave it and throw in the towel and just use a tracker in it's place. It's cool. Just kind of weird, but not a big deal with the work around.
