Had a great game last night. One of my players is wanting to enter a journal entry for everyone to see. How is everyone doing this.
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
Since Realm Works' Journal feature isn't enabled yet: mailing lists, websites, blogs, wikis, file hosting services.... Basically any way you would have done it without Realm Works.
Once upon a time I ran a blog for a campaign. It didn't last that long (the campaign fell apart) but it was something.
I'm sure it's one of the features included in the survey, so it could be worked in parallel with the Content Market. My guess is that it would be later, though.Hey thank Parody. You snuck in as I was typing. sounds like this is on the drawing board then...sometime after market content and calender?
First, Player Edition does NOT permit Players to add content.
My recommendation is have him send the journal to you by email (in Word format or whatever) and then YOU add in to a article. I use Time Period object in the Events category because it permits me to say that the journal is from date X to Date Y.
Then, simply make it visible to the players and link to it from the home page if you want it quickly accessible.
Yes: at this time, that's the only place in Realm Works.I thought I read that we could send notes/messages from player to player or player to dm in player edition. Is the only place for this at this time the message center outside of the realm?
I like this idea, consider it usurped!!!As part of my reward system to build more character depth I gave out extra experience for in character journal post.
Yep, THAT covers the major two complaints my beta players have with testing RWPEI agreewith everyone that Player's edition should havesome functionity to add things like journals. I would also love to see the ability for players to make their own relationship trees so they can remember how their character identifies with certain npcs or other players.

If the players have access to herolab (and if you are using the players edition of realm works why would you not be using herolab) you csan journal right on your character
Galen if by barely you mean it can't hold a novel then yeah you are right. But for the odd paragraph or two here and there it is perfectly acceptable.
