Help? option problem

K heres my next noob question,

Rifle command (A) comes without any armour. Along with any child or leader
types. If you buy bodyarmour for the whole unit for 5 points, It ads a 6
save for the whole unit (Got it to work for the base unit) but the other
child units (Leader and Sgt) somehow miss the upgrade.

Any idea on what option it is.

Give the Leader and Sgt the same option and the 'mirr:thatOption' unit
local attribute.
