HELP! Creating Custom Robes

Zeltor

New member
So I just got Hero Lab and I'm really loving it so far! The one part that has got me all screwed up is the custom content part of Hero Lab. I've gone into the editor and tried tinkering around but I haven't gotten a real handle on it yet.

So I'm trying to create a custom robe for my sorcerer that has the following attributes:

+2 AC vs Ranged Weapons (arrows, bolts, javelins, etc)
1/day charge of Expeditious Retreat that recharges when rested
AND
an ability where when I cast a spell I personally role (not random number generated) 1d10 and if I get 10 it returns to me 1 Spell per Day of that level.

The last one I realize I could just do manually. When I cast I roll and if I get 10 I just don't count the spell used on my sheet, but I'd like to have a system in place in Hero Lab to help me to remember to do it.

The +2 to AC vs Ranged Weapons is situational, and will not be in any calculations. For this, you simply add a situational 'note' to Armor Class. (Look at the Armor Class, Situational adjustment for inspiration.)

The 1/day charge of Expeditious Retreat can be done with the Castable Spells section of the item in the editor.

The restoration of the spell per day is not going to be scriptable, and would simply have to be a note in the description of the item. You could add this ability as a tracked resource on the item at least, so you can track whether you've used it in a given day yet or not, but that's really about it.
