That's about it... if you check on page 5 of the SM codex is says
something to the effect of "upgrades normally available to the squad are
not available to the sgt". Yes, we know Paul Sawyer did it in a battle
report; no, it does not set a precedent. Also, if you were to check the
FAQ for the 40k files (Help/Warhammer 40,000 FAQ), under "Why can't
Scout Sergeants take Sniper Rifles?" it also answers the question.
