Heirloom Weapon question

I'm a little confused by the two drop down boxes in the HW trait. I realize one is for the weapon but what is the second one for?

The first box tells HL which weapon you are proficient with. Then you will need to manually add the MW weapon to your character. Once you do this the 2nd drop down box will let you pick the correct MW weapon to apply the +1 Trait bonus to.
