Have Quick-Create Open The Article In Edit Mode

If I use ctrl-q to create an article and click the "Create and Open In New Tab" button, it's obvious (to me) that I'm going to enter some information right now.

So, could that button go to the tab in edit mode with the cursor in a blank title box, rather than just opening the blank new topic in view mode?

Is there any reason for using that button (other than going straight into edit mode) that I'm not seeing that would make this not as useful?

Agreed IF I choose to not only create the article (which I do ALOT) but also select "Create AND OPEN"... it seems to me this is a "YES right now".

I often create articles (mainly individuals or items) that I intend to flesh out later,If I choose NOT to detail at that moment, this is already accounted for in the ctrl-q part of the application. This suggestion would certainly save a few (ALOT if adding over a period of time) clicks to have the feature go straight to where the road meets the rubber. IMO

I'd like it if we could optionally create+open+edit immediately in the same tab. No need to make more tabs that then prompt me when I go to close them.

You might also want to consider getting rid of the "standard" create dialog, replacing it with the now relatively complicated "quick create" one. Whether that means getting rid of Quick Create (because all the functions will have been merged together) or creating a new, simpler "quick create" dialog is up to you.
