have license and activated it but still haveing poblem

I have had AB since 2005 and i love the product but i always seem to run into a problem when i update my comp. I just built me a new computer the other day and when i went to turn on AB it asked me for my License info. All well and good, so i put the license info in and activated it and now it is saying that i am still in deminstation mode and can only have 3 choices when i creat my army. Not sure what to do to fix this problem.
