Greensting Scorpion Familiar feats

Herolab is giving me an additional feat for the Greensting Scorpion familar. Is this right? I am not sure whether this is a bug?

Since a normal greensting scorpion has INT -, it doesn't get any feats.

When you make it a familiar, it gains an INT score, and therefore gets to take all the normal feats of a monster of its HD. But, the bestiary entry for this monster doesn't have any feats listed, so in HL, we just leave the feats blank and let the user choose them.

(All familiars can change their feats in order to choose something other than what the Bestiary suggests are normal feats for that race - check the "Customize?" checkbox on the Minion tab to do so).

Actually, looking at it again, it seems that the familiar version of the Greensting scorpion from Ultimate magic has already been given a feat (weapon finesse)and it appears this is the version herolab uses, so I am not sure Herolab should be giving a validation error that the scorpion needs to choose an additional feat?

Its not a big problem as I can change it manually but it might cause people to build their familiars wrong

Take a look at the Greensting Scorpion's entry in B4 (pg 232) or UM (pg 118) - you'll see that Weapon Finesse has a superscript "B" - that means it's a racial bonus feat, and does not count against the race's total feats allowed.

Oh I see. So it should have an additional feat then.

I must say, Herolab is really good at getting things right. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question.
