Give familiar to a character?

I'm GM'ing a game with kids, and our bard really wants a familiar. Is there a way for me to create a feat or magic item that would permit her to have a familiar? We want to use Herolab to automate everything, if possible.

Without an archetype? You may be able to do that by installing the Community Pack from SC. He implemented many customizations into HLC that allows you do a lot of changes without having to deep dive into custom user data files.

Give them the feat "Eldritch Heritage" and choose "Arcane" bloodline. The feat has requirements but you can just make it a bonus feat if you don't want them to spend on it.
