First time Posting, hero lab troubles.

I really don't know what to do, I bought the 4th edition from the website. Reactivated my hero lab license.... and all i can mess with is the sample. Now i've heard I need to use a 'ddidownloader' and I have been trying to use that but with my internet connection it's been running constantly for 7 days STRAIGHT. and got to the Powers. Then my net crashed which made it restart.

Is this seriously the only way to get the 4th edition data for hero lab? This seems pretty dang unreasonable if that's true. Does anyone have any advice or maybe i'm doing something wrong?
 
I remember the very first time I tried it, was still trying for 3 days. I stopped it and tried again, only took a few hours.

(I had a subscription at the time)

Unfortunately due to the way 4th is licensed this is how you have to get the data. Hero lab has the mechanics but you have to get the data direct from the ddi account through the downloader. If it takes longer than 7 hours it might be because WotC changed the way data is organized in the DDI Compendium, which causes problems with the downloader :/ That happens pretty much everytime they make a compendium change.
