Finishing Sync Hangup

I can't seem to be able to finish my sync on my main Realm. It has the most data. When I tell it to sync it goes directly to the "Please Wait, Finishing Sync" message and never completes.

I've rebooted and relogged into that Realm, the information is there but I still cannot sync when I go out to My Realms. The Sync Status button reads "Sync Required".

I did a lot of work on it last night but would go out on occasion to sync, not sure what the hangup is now.

Thanks for any help in advance.
 
Did you update to the new build made available today? In the notes I think it mentions that the new build is required to sync.
 
I did a manual back, brought up the restore on another machine and it still hung up. I went back to my original machine and tried syncing - this time getting the following message "Sync failed with error code: -201".

After restart the original machine got back to the "Finishing Sync" hangup.

Because of having the same issue on the 2nd machine I'm beginning to think that the file is corrupt in some manner, even though I can open it on each machine from the manual backup.
 
The finalization logic can take a little while if you uploaded a large amount of data to the server. Approximately how long did you wait before restarting?
 
A couple of hours.

It's a fair amount of data, but only a small fraction of what I had planned for that realm.

That's unusual. Could you pm me your username so I can see if there's anything interesting going on with the server?
 
It did that to me too - I left it syncing when I went to bed and 6 hours later it was still "finalizing". But later yesterday it started working just fine.
 
That gives me hope, however my latest has been "finalizing" for over 12 hours. Pretty sure I goofed something up, just don't know what.
 
Update: After 17 hours and 12 minutes of "Finalizing" I got this message: "Sync failed due to communications fault."

Update 2: "Sync failed with error code: -500"

I'm making progress, getting different error messages. :0)

Update 3: Noticed the sync button changed from "sync required" to just "sync", so tried it again and was finally successful. Woohoo!
