Fate and Consequences

Here's a question that seems to have gone unanswered. At least, I haven't seen an answer, but I've seen other people asking the question, so here's my attempt at an answer.

The question is, "is it possible to add different consequence types?", and my answer is, I don't think it is.

For each consequence, there's a conType field that takes a numeric value. As it stands, 0 = Physical, and 1 = Mental. When I assign it a value of 2, it goes back to Physical.

How those numbers translate to the text values seems to be in the portal, ipConseq. As far as I can tell, it is not possible to modify an existing portal or add a custom portal in a pre-compiled data package.

To my knowledge, consequences fit into one of two broad categories, either physical or mental. What other types of consequences would you like to see?

Specifically, some of us would like to adapt Dresden Files, which also has "Social", just as Spirit of the Century has a "Social" type.

Dresden Files also has a Social stress track. Adding that stress track is easy enough, but there seems to be no way to add a correlating consequence type when that stress track is exhausted.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to say that more generally, it would be nice to be able to add different consequence types.
