Familiar and headband of vast intelligence

I have added a headband of vast intelligence +2 to my 4th level wizard who has a greensting scorpion familiar.

The Scorpion's base stats are:

Str 3, Dex 16, Con 10, Int —, Wis 10, Cha 2

However, when I equip the headband and look at the Scorpion's abilities, INT is now 7, and a red-worded error appears below stats saying 7 OVERSPENT...but no error in top right where errors usually appear.

Does the familiars INT go up in actuality? I don't think it does...
 
Please try this on a different familiar race. I seem to rembember a bug in the greensting scorpion's INT, and we had better make sure that it isn't that other bug.

Also, once you have that, please report bugs in the bug reporting thread, rather than individual threads.
 
When I changed the race to an owl, I get the same message:

7 OVERSPENT, but this time I get the error warning in the upper right.

Will this thread be moved to bug thread then? Sorry bout that-
