False Virus Detection?

ri_gamer

Well-known member
I updated my Realm Works today and got a virus warning from my Trend Micro AV:

Threat: HEU_DLTI.G202
Source: Threat
Affected Files: C:\Program Files (x86)\Realm Works\RealmWorks.exe
Response: Removed
Detected By: Correlation Scan

I presume that this is a false positive, but can anyone confirm?

Thanks

It looks like it is. I just did a search for it and found nothing but your post here on it. Which is a good indicator there is nothing to it.

I dont use Trend, I use Kaspersky. While its not currently happening, I do remember at one point during the beta test that Kaspersky would do a false positive on it as well.

I just did a check, and its definitely clean on my system.

The name suggests a heuristic search.
It basically found an unknown exe that can access the web...

Happens to new software all the time.

I ran into the same problem with Panda. I had to turn off/suspend the antivirus during the download and then install it. It was fine after doing that.
