Failed to sync to server

I get an Unable to Connect error...error says check my internet connection...but my internet is connected just fine.

Same problem, here.

Internet connection is fine, otherwise I wouldn't be posting this message, never had a problem until now with RW (except when we've been notified that the server is down, of course).

Cannot use Work Offline (greyed out).

Even went so far as to shut off firewall briefly to try again. Same outcome.

Same problem as above. I just created my realm works account, logged in and then could not create a realm. I closed the program and waited 10 minutes or so and now cannot log in at all.

I believe I'm using 137. Unlike Chemlak I can work offline, well I can click on the button. It wants me to log in to create a realm.

According to Nicole (our server expert), something has gone sideways on the server. She's working to figure it out now. Stay tuned for an update as soon as she gets a handle on the problem.

Sorry for the frustrations... :(

Alright, please give things another try. The hiccup should theoretically be resolved now.

Looks like it is fixed now Rob. Thanks

Only issue now is that I have three realms created with the same name which were created during my failed connection attempts.

Is there a way to delete these messed up realms?

Cross-posted from another thread...

Deleting realms isn't possible yet. That will change once full server syncing is operational.

Regarding the extraneous realms, we need some more data to try to figure out what happened. That includes your account name you created and your email address, as well as what you were doing prior to the server outage and what you were trying to do during the server outage. The best way to provide us with that information is to submit a bug report. This way, we can easily follow up with you to ask additional questions if we have them while diagnosing the problem.

Please submit a bug report to the link below and include the information I outlined above.

Thanks!

Still Fails

I have been trying at many various times today to sync up for my initial connection. I thought that maybe I'd typed in the wrong password and used the forgot password link and that took me to a ticket page. But since you have to type in the password twice I'm pretty sure I didn't screw that up.

Just downloaded the program and went through the initial processes. When attempting to contact the server, I got nothing. Using 137. Anyone else having the same problem?

Yeah. Ever since I upgraded to 133 (and then 135, and then 137), I've been unable to use RW at all. I haven't managed to connect to the server even once to verify my account.

Are there firewall settings that need to be applied to allow this connection?

EDIT: The error I'm getting after entering my password is "Unable to contact the server to properly register this machine. Realm Works cannot continue until the machine has been properly registered with the server. Would you like to retry the connection to the server?"

Okay, that's likely the problem. Have you filed a bug report with us yet? There's an issue which solely affects beta users who haven't been able to successfully log in, and I'll probably need to do some handiwork to get you unblocked.

I got an email saying that the issue was not being able to connect due to server issues. I've now tried to connect via three different networks. And two different computers. It must be on their end.

Did so last night, but forgot to reply here until now. Thanks.

I am also experiencing this issue. I did not have this issue on v112 or v122, but I am seeing it now. I'll file a bug.

-Ben.

I don't know if the system is auto updating or not. But I'm on v137 (I believe). I have never connected and have tried on multiple computers, multiple networks (LAN and WiFi) and I get stopped about 3/4 into the configuring bar.

@Theocrat: Have you submitted a formal bug report? That detail is not clear from your assorted posts above.

Something odd appears to be going on with your situation, so the only way we'll be able to sort things out for you is if you submit a formal bug report. That way, we can specifically investigate your account and coordinate with you to uncover what's unique about your environment.
