Extra Game Systems

OK,

With the new version of Hero Lab I have a ton of games displaying that I do not want on the screen. In the past I could go in and delete the folders and make them go away so I could only see the three versions of pathfinder. That was REALLY helpful on my mini as it is easier to see the whole screen at one and choose the correct system. (See attached pics of the old startup.)

Now, however I do not see any data files for me to delete the system. Is there a way to make these go away? And if not, then I consider this a bug and would like the ability to hide game systems I have not purchased in the future.

Thanks for your help!

The data files are here now:

Program Data Folder – Where Hero Lab keeps its data files. This will be something like "C:\ProgramData\Hero Lab" on Windows 7, or "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Hero Lab" on Windows XP/Vista.

I happen to be using Vista on my primary desktop, and the files are at the location noted for Windows 7. I don't have an XP machine to test if the data files are ever stored at C:\Documents and Settings\*

Nope. That is where Hero Lab is... but there is NO data there. I found the files under my documents that have things like my characters and my user files. I found the program under program files as shown below in the picture. But there is NO data files there. No 4e, WoD, etc folder for me to delete to make them go away.

Before everything was under C:\Hero Lab. Now they moved it to the program files folder and the My Documents folder for unique user data the way most windows programs work. That is fine and a good idea. But the Data Files are not there in the same place they were before.

Opps. The file did not upload for some reason. Lets try that again.

Adam.Ormond said the locations are "C:\ProgramData\Hero Lab" on Windows 7, or "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Hero Lab" on Windows XP/Vista. But your screen shot shows you looking at C:\Program Files\Hero Lab.

The above folders by the way are HIDDEN folders so if you have not changed any setting in windows to be able to see hidden folders it won't let you.

Otherwise depending on the version of windows you have you need to look at one of the above folder locations. Then you can do the same as before and simply delete the game systems.

Also:
You can always find the "data" folder containing the user files by going to the Tools menu within Hero Lab and choosing Explore Folders -> Program Data Folder. :)

You can always find the current place Hero Lab is using for these folders by going to the Tools menu -> Explore Folders and choosing "Program Data Folder" or "User Data Folder". That'll take you to the correct locations even if a future version of Windows changes them again, or if you're using custom locations for your folders.
