Extra damage dice on portfolio weapons.

I was wondering if it would be possible to display the extra damage dice on weapons once a special ability has been applied, as at the moment I'm writing it onto the printed sheet as a reminder! No big deal just annoying!

Oh I absolutely second the motion! :) It would be very nice to see the extra dice (with the type: sonic, fire, etc) listed on the printed sheet when one's sword or glaive has Bane vs. Magic Users or Evil or Undead, is Axiomatic, etc.

Of course it might get hard to fit on the sheet if Shocking and Flaming were also special enhancements that one has paid to get with those hard earned Gold & Platinum Pieces the character has been collecting over the last 20 adventures.

By the by, when special abilities are on a weapon, they are often cut-off on the printed sheet, yes...many of us use the printed sheet and are not using the software on a netbook/laptop at the game table, especially if you've "named" your special creation. You get something to the effect of "Rabbitslayer, longsword, b" & that's not easy for someone to decipher be it the DM or a player who's been asked to look on your sheet & roll for you while you are in the other room getting a snack. ;-)

I'm an old school gamer '79 first introduction to rpg's, ahh Basic D&D and Runequest those were the days.

I find a printed character sheet is quicker to read and to scribble a map or quirky note on without having to page through electronic tabs, much better to use a character generator to "Help" with the process and not hinder the game. If there is missing data from the fundamentals of a character then you may as well use pen and paper to log the information.

Plus a folder full of old sheets containing pre made characters is an invaluable source of Npc's too! What a rounded comfortable way to resurrect a favourite character than to re-introduce them in a campaign as a villain or prominent hero / city official and play them again. A data only version would be lost to time in the even of a catastrophic failure of equipment.

At the moment I don't use Hero Lab to it's full potential at the table because of the lack of focus during the game that having a laptop brings.

That being said though it's also an invaluable tool that over checks the menial work on creation too,
