Error popped up with the old 3.5 Spell Compendium files.

Is anyone else getting an error with the old 3.5 Spell compendium .user files?
Specifically for an Oracle character that had no problems before.

This being the error I get. I went through and checked all the source stuff, but could not see anything myself. Not sure what exactly to look for though.

Code:
Errors were encountered when loading the saved portfolio! If you notice incorrect behaviors in your portfolio, please report it to the data file authors (you can contact them from the Help menu).

Critical information not found in data files: Source 'Spell Compendium 3.5'

Good to know. I think I figured out what happened also. It was in an older .por that had not been updated in a while. I thought it had the same things loaded but must have changed that file at some point. I remade the character with the same settings and got it working without the error. Thanks for the info, it helped fix things.

Since there aren't any lines beyond those first two, that means nothing actually changed in your character because of that error, so ignoring the error message, opening the character anyway, and then saving it would have kept the error from being shown in the future.

I opened it, modified it and saved it several times. It still had the error a few times. Which is why I remade it.

Okay, sorry, I thought the simple solution would work. The complex solution is Develop...Prepare Portfolio for Distribution, and check the "Strip Missing Sources" option.

Enabling the options in the Develop menu may require turning on the very first option in that table ("Enable Data File Debugging"), if you haven't done so before now.

I went back to the original .por and did, it fixed that. Now to just wait till next gameday and see if that player can use the .por in the app on his phone. :)
