Encountering errors after a full reinstallation

I conducted a reinstallation of my Hero Labs, as our group obtained a new .user file. So I did the following:

Please do the following to Herolab.

Step 1: Uninstall Herolab, including all files. (Make sure you write down your license number before you do).

Step 2: Reinstall Herolab and activate your license. (Remember to use e-mail of person who's account it is.)

Step 3: Download Pathfinder RPG Package. (This will include all your previously purchased packages.)

Step 4: Click "Find Updates"; then CLick "Add Source"; then click "New Source"; paste in "http://www.shadowsoftware.net/herolab/d20pfsrd/updates.xml"; then Click "OK" twice.

DO NOT ADD SHADOW d20 SOURCE!

Step 5: Close and restart Hero Lab. "Find Updates" and download "d20pfsrd- Forgotten Realms".

Step 6: When the Forgotten Realms file shows the screen in which you have to click "Import Files" Look up Above and find the location the files are being saved to. Its probably something like "C:\ProgramData\Hero Lab\...." make a note of this file location. Then import files.

Step 7: Go to the above location to find the "Hero Lab" file. Inside the Hero Lab file you will find a file labeled "Data" inside that file you will find a file labeled "pathfinder". Open the pathfinder file.

Step 8: Copy and paste the file "PFRPG_Ranger_Exp-Spellless.usr" from DropBox into the "pathfinder" file.

Step 9: Restart Hero Lab.

This should have given me a clean installation. However when I attempt to open old characters I built, I get the following errors.

I'll make a change to the character, to include checking and unchecking one of the settings within the Configure Hero, in order to resave the dependencies for the character. Upon opening the character, I still get the errors below.

The thing is, I'd like to have the Magic Item Compendium and the Spell Compendium, but I don't have them available in the Configure Hero, nor do I see them in the list of updates. In the past I've only ever installed the Shadow d20 and FR files from 3rd party sources. Everything else is from Hero Labs. Now, I only have the FR and the spellless ranger .user file.

Errors were encountered when loading the saved portfolio! A record of these errors can be found in the file "C:\Users\jarthurs\AppData\Local\Temp\hero_lab_load_issues.log". If you notice incorrect behaviors in your portfolio, please report it to the data file authors (you can contact them from the Help menu).

Once you save a character it saves parts of addons. So HL is telling you about issues now that you tried to open the character without the addons. Also Shadow d20 is my groups house rules file so it makes many changes to core rules.

To remove the message about sources go to portfolio->Strip missing sources.

P.S uninstalling and reinstalling HL software never helps fix anything. HL has two side the software and then the game. An error from a game 99% of the time has nothing to do with the software so the uninstall really just wastes time.
