Enabling Special character issues

Is there an option for enabling Legendary Characters ?

When I'm building an Eldar army they are all there in the HQ section but on Imperial Guard I can't see the option to add them to command squads or use Mabro from the elites section.
 
This question belongs on the forum for 40K, where the 40K experts (and the authors of the 40K data files) will see it and be able to answer it.
 
This has always been a problem, and recently the files have been modified to handle this problem. As of our General Release 1.03a (available here: http://www.ab40k.org/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=139) Special Characters are now ON by default - before this release, there is an roster option noted Special Characters which had to be checked in order for Special Characters to be seen for selection.

Note that since it is now on by default, you must remove this checkmark to hide special characters.
