> First, I have yet to license Cardvault because I plan to get a new
computer soon. Would I be able to transfer the license to the new PC?
If you have not licensed Card Vault at all, that will be no problem
whatsoever. (I assume your new PC will access the same email.) Just download
the program to the new computer, and you can manage the license from there.
> Second, when will Clobbering Time files be available for Marvel HC?
As soon as possible. I have no firm date, but I'll go over to WK this week
and hassle them.
> Third, how do I go about inputting prices from Inquest or such?
At the moment, that has to be done manually in the Inventory screen. We're
working on getting an itnerface with IQ and Scrye to do an automatic
download of prices.
> Also, do you plan on adding Limited Edition, promo, and oversized figs to
the Wizkids files? If so, when?
Absolutely, and I just have to work out a method that everyone finds
acceptable.
> Lastly, I've been thinking about authoring a Battletech CCG datafile for
CV and maybe others. Do authors get a free license or any other bonuses? I
ask because it would seem like a good way to promote file authoring.
Thus far, people have been authoring licenses for the love of the game. The
big problem is that writing a datafile without having a license kind of
precludes testing said datafile, so offering a license after a datafile is
made seems poitnless. Conversely, offering a license *before* a datafile
gets written is pretty foolish.
On the other hand, we're reasonable people. We help those who help us, and
it seems that one likely possibility might be to provide extended update
memberships to those who author and maintain datafiles. That way, we can
ensure that a given person is not trying to pull a fast one, and it still
gives the authors an added benefit.
