Hello all, there is a bug in the Dwarven Boulder Helm item in regards to how it equiped. It gives you the option of what hand you want it in etc., but it should not, it should just be an equip or not option and all the modifiers should be in there, not dependent on the hands. Is this a bug that needs reporting, or is there someway to fix this up? Other items like Prehensile Hair don't require you to assign hands.

I look forward to hearing from someone on this.

The helm is a manufactured weapon not a natural attack so you have to "equip" it to use it. Its not a "free" extra attack as you only have "two" hands. So in example you can't use the helm and a Greatsword as you have no 'off-hand' to use. Yes it takes a 'virtual' hand which a character only has "two". By virtual I mean you get to use 'two' one-handed weapons or one two-handed weapon regardless of how you configure those weapons because you have only "two" hands to wield weapons even if not used in a "real" hand.

Yes I am talking the rules of Pathfinder which is different than 3.5. Read THIS FAQ.

So you have to be able to equip it to tell HL a) when you are using it and how to calculate attack values correctly and b) which other weapon you may decide to use it with and finally c) because it has to follow the rules of a manufactured weapon.
