Hey Rob!
How about an option or button to make
a duplicate of an already built unit?
I play a lot of WAB, and building large
armies with a lot of real similar looking
units is frustrating time consuming and error
prone.
Take the Republican Romans - at 5k my army has
10 exactly identitical units of hastati & principes
AND 5 triarii with 15 models per unit, and they all
have identitical equipment options. And I find I
have the exact same problems with greeks, madedonains,
persians, medievals, you name it.
A little button on the side, near the delete button,
that makes an exact copy of the currently selected unit
would be great. Personally I would also like to see
it copy over special names and descriptions too, so
if I wanted 10 units of pikemen from the same province
all I have to do is fill out the detail info once and
hit the dup button. It makes sense to me that if I wanted
10 identitical units of pike from different provinces
(thus differing only in the name) that I would build the
first unit, duplicate it 10 times, and THEN give them the
names.
I also have this sort of problem for any large scale
cookie-cutter game, even WFB and Warmaster so it isn't
just an ancients thing.
Thanks,
Tony
