Dragonlance Data

Very very very hard. You would be way better to start over. Under the covers d20 and Pathfinder are very different structures.

Most of the DL stuff was added by me under my previous handle, Lawful_G. Unfortunately, now that I am working for Lone Wolf, I've had to step away from contributing to the community files, so I wouldn't be able to do any conversions. Sorry.

Also, as ShadowChemosh pointed out, the background structure is very different between d20 and pathfinder, so the data can't automatically transfer. My recommendation is that you take a crack at programming some of the content you need into HL yourself. Just start with what you need and try to do the simple stuff first. If you have questions, ask on the forums. Lots of kind folks here willing to help you out, that's how I learned after all.
 
I am in the process of converting the Dragonlance data into Pathfinder currently. I will be sharing the data as soon as I have something to post on my repository.
 
So, there is this new "thing" that shows up in my Hero Lab, after I added RavenX's "Dragonlance Campaign Setting" to it.... "War of the Lance" in the presets when it first starts up.

WHAT IS THIS?
HOW and WHERE DO I GET IT???

Also, 1 more problem. WHY is Paladine and Takhisis MISSING from the Dragonlance Data set? Some of us do NOT WANT to play Age of Mortals where (in story) they are missing for a good reason. I want to make stuff for Age of Despair where they are still present -- why are they not in the dataset? Am I missing something?

Also, in the DL dataset, in Hero Lab, in the Dragonlance deities section (I am making a Cleric character), MANY OTHER deities from other settings are (for whatever reason) showing up under the Dragonlance section. This seems a bug to me. I do not want to see other deities from other settings showing up there. How can we fix that?
And put Paladine and Takhisis back in too... etc etc...

Just FYI but things like Dragonlance, FR, and Eberron campaign stuff are inputted by community members for 'FREE'. This means a person is spending his time entering and giving it away as is for others to use. The "tone" of your above posts seem "very" demanding. Maybe this is not how you intend them but that is how they are coming across.

The best method to make something be "exactly" as you want is to use the editor to add the missing features. Or again use the editor to do Replace Thing ID to change what you don't agree with. :)

i am sorry. i am just learning. i really do not know how to do hardly anything in the editor as of yet. I feel like a lost child and had a very bad rant this morning over this same topic :( now i am on probation here.

i am frustrated with how nearly impossible it seems of how to develop for HL and add things i want to see in it.

i am more than willing to do all of my work all by myself, but what i need is the knowledge and the tools. i have the tools (editor and knowing how to edit XML natively in text editor) but what i do not have or know is what commands to use and how.

the wiki is really not straightforward either. it "describes" what "things" are but does not explain how they are used. at least not in an overall, systematic, and exhaustive way ... examples are nice, but i need more than just examples. I need to see parameters and syntax in a general sense so i can see all of what is possible to do, rather than just extrapolating from specific ISOLATED examples as to what others are already doing, in order to figure out what i can do.
 
If there is something that you would like for the DL setting let me know I'd be happy to help. Dragonlance is one of my favorites to play, and although I've been busy with my own homebrew I'd be happy to assist in any way I can.

That being said, RavenX is the one who has jurisdiction over all of the Dragonlance, Faerun and I think Eberron Conversions. What I can do, I will, The NPC classes, (Master, Noble and um.. one other are definitely on my list because I use those more than I use the Expert/Aristocrat.

As for the deities, I don't know much about that, I haven't really looked at those files. So I dont know what is included and what isn't.

P.S., On an side note, what are you running? Are you playing the Autumn Twilight through Spring Modules?

After attempting to see what files were available, I cannot seem to find any of the Dragonlance files, where are they? I have RavenX's update link but the files are not listed as downloadable options.

Thanks. I've been talking to RavenX for the last day or so. I've got all the DL data he did and that's mostly what i've been looking at and working on, also, myself, as I added a lot of (mostly fluff since i cannot really code yet) content to what he did, the other day. Mostly i spruced up the Deities and added 3 domains, and dabbled in adding the Wendle Centaur from the Bestiary of Krynn.

ADD either or both of these 2 LINKS to your HL update sources, to get RavenX's converted 3.5 -> Pathfinder content for Dragonlance (the original work he did, not what i have added onto it since):

Ask nicely. It's something I have to add within the sources file. Which I will do when I get around to updating it, hopefully in the not so far off future.
 
At this point in time, the Pathfinder file structure is so different from d20 they're basically different game systems. So the data really can't just be moved from one system to another. However, the d20 files could be scavenged for description texts, and the rest of the data scripted in the pathfinder files. You could just copy/paste from the d20 files the description text into a word processor file and then once you have what you need recopy them into pathfinder. It would take time to do but it might be faster than actually typing the data, which I usually do from the books.

Eberron is part of the community Campaign Pack actually. I would say 99% of the Eberron was done by myself actually. I am still "slowly" adding to it with each release but the "CORE" campaign book is 100% done and working. It has a few nice options like hiding all non-Eberron deities and stuff.

Dragonlance content is not with the Eberron Conversion.
 
I was saying that I dont know where any of the Dragonlance stuff is. And I was wondering where it was. It is not with any of the other RavenX content or his dropbox link.
