Display FoB in the Weapon Print Out

Checkmate

New member
Hello, I'm a new user of Hero Lab, and I'm just trying to figure out my way around. What I'd really like to do is see the total Flurry of Blows, including all feats, like Weapon Focus, in the Weapon display of the printed sheet.

My other problem is that my Search-Fu is weak. At one point I was able to find a thread (that I can't find now) that directed me to this file: PFRPG_Monk_FoB.user on the pfsrd. I downloaded it and put it where it told me to, but I'm not sure how to make it work.

Any assistance anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Once you have added the .user file you simple start or restart Hero Lab. Then add a level of Monk to your character. On the "Weapon" tap your Unarmed Strike weapon should have a new line called "FoB +X/+X".

On the "In-Play" tab is a activation to say you are doing a Flurry of Blows so that things like Power Attack correctly calculate with the increased BAB.

On the "Adjustment" tab you can add an adjustment for "Flurry of Blows" so that you can pick to display the FoB info on a weapon other than your Unarmed Strike.

I have done that and selected the new weapon (longbow in the case of my zen archer) but the flurry of blows is still being displayed under the unarmed strike entry. If I select another melee weapon as opposed to the longbow, however, it works properly. Any suggestions?

Going to go with that the addon when made didn't consider Bow at the time to be a valid choice. I will add it to my to-do list to look at fixing. I have to say its going to be some weeks before I will really get the chance. :(

Have you had any chance to look into this? I have done a little playing in the editor to see if I could fix it, but my abilities in there are quite novice at this stage. In the absence of you doing it yourself, do you have some ideas of what adjustment I could add to do a temporary fix in the program while we wait for a .user fix?

One thought I had but couldn't figure out how to change was to try and figure out a way to alter flurry of blows to become a ranged attack instead of a melee attack but I don't begin to know how to accomplish that. If it could be flagged to be ranged, it should then base things on dex instead of str and be correct?

My main project from Paizo Con to Gen Con is working on improvements to Pathfinder, so this one may change how much effort ShadowChemosh wants to apply to this project:

(I did handle the differences between which weapons a regular monk can flurry with as opposed to the Zen Archer and Monk of the Empty Hand archetypes).

Sweet! As I had not had anytime yet to look into this other than to have some ideas on how to handle it.

Does this new improvement have a way to activate FoB in say In-Play so that the correct BAB is used then for Power Attack and other feats that do calculations based on BAB?

No need - this is just another calculated attack bonus that's always displayed, same as the ranged and melee bonuses that were already there, so it's using the fields that are already present on the weapon, and will pick up everything that's already there.
