Subject: Definition file strangeness
I'm seeing some odd behaivior that hopefully someone here can
explain. In my definition file I have the following:
items
General | gen | gen | 0 | 1 |
spl,mpl,big | 0 | 0 | 1
Agility | agil | agil | 0 | 1 |
spl,mpl,big | 0 | 0 | 1
Strength | str | str | 0 | 1 |
spl,mpl,big | 0 | 0 | 1
Passing | pass | pass | 0 | 1 |
spl,mpl,big | 0 | 0 | 1
Physical | phys | phys | 0 | 1 |
spl,mpl,big | 0 | 0 | 1
Traits | trat | trat | 0 | 1 |
*hide* | 0 | 0 | 1
Special | spec | spec | 0 | 0 |
spl,mpl,big | 0 | 0 | 1
Weapons | weap | weap | 0 | 1 |
*hide* | 0 | 0 | 1
When I pull up a given unit, and try to give them items, 'Traits'
behaives properly and never appears in the drop-down. 'Weapons',
however, *does* appear. 'Special' also behaives properly.
Any clues?

Are you sure you've recompiled the definition since you made the change?
I've made changes in the past and forgotten to do this, very confusing
until I worked it out.

Would it be possible for you to upload your files (and a copy of the

not an expert on definition file behaviours, but it seems like everything
should be working based on what you pasted.

*hide* attribute may only hide One item category. the second one is
ignored and displayed normaly. I did notice it too. As theses items can
not be selected by the user, you may use only one category and restrict
the options/local attributes to select the items.
