Subject: question
I'm having another problem and I'm not sure what I'm missing.
I have a unit of Battlesuits. you can have up to 3. and you can
choose which hero pilots them. And each suit can have a different
pilot or the same in all three.
I did it like this:
First is like any other unit. with a 1:3 for size info.
Second and third suits are X... units that are linked via an option.
and the coun towards parent unit.
all three have their choose of pilots.
everything seems to work fine except when you choose up 2 or 3 on the
parent unit. I keep getting an infinite loop error when I choose a
pilot. I then click ok and it now has the 2 suits with 2 pilots.
I think it might be form the pilot optoin link. I used
unit:xdr1@per=1
If I just pick one suit and a pilot and then use the option to get
the other suits and then choose their pilots it works fine.
That gives me six entries for all three suits and their pilots, which
is fine if the suits had different pilots. I want to be able to have
suit @ 3 and pilot @ 3 on the two entries when they want the same
pilots for all the suits.
I hope you understand the problem and can help
Thanks
Mario

Could you upload the files you're having the problem with to the Vault?
http://www.egroups.com/Files/armybuilder/
That'll make detecting what's going wrong easier. Thanks!

Thanks for your quick response but I just figured it out. I needed to
change the size on the Pilot units to match the size of the suit
unit.
It was originally 1:1 at 1:3 it works fine.
Again thanks

Subject: Two (simple?) Questions
I need to do two things with an augmentation file. Can you please
help me with the exact format?
1. I need to take Beastmen, and change their composition rules. I
know I need to use xbrk: but I can't figure out the format. The
current composition rule is Lord@?,Ret@?,Ally@0-25 I need to change
Ally to be 0, and add Cstm@0-25 I would also like to make this
change effective only with mode=pgc. What is the correct format?
2. I need to *add* an option to an already existing unit (i.e. the
unit was defined in beastmen.wfb). How in the world do I do this?
show: doesn't work because the option has to exist and be hidden for
it to apply. I *do not* want to change the beastmen.wfb file if
there is any way whatsoever to avoid it, no matter how time-consuming
or complex it might be.
HELP!
Debbie
