Again, the card description text should have the card as it is written;
and that should be enough. Factions aren't good for sorting at all,
because now half the Dragons (for instance) are also Brotherhood and
they come out of sequence. Having an apparently non-Dragon personality
sorted with the Dragons would simply raise a flagg, you would check the
card details and see the notes explaining. Then, if you are simply
sorting your binders, you would choose what you want to do. I think
that's the better of two worlds: you get all the data you need to make
an informed decision

But MRP's are game affecting changes, and stats should be modified
accordingly. If we can accept that all Ancestors inherit the Unique
trait (even if its not written on the card), or all Naga, and Oni
inherit the Nonhuman trait because of the game rules, why wouldn't
another rule in the same rulebook cause other cards to inherit other
changes?

So to resume my point: card description should have the card text "as
written"; stats should be modified according to any MRP or errata.

I was refering to Strongholds. Almost all strongholds get a stat
increase. And probably some other cards, not only souls, get game
affecting MRPs.

Well, he gets to decide what's more important.

While I can understand your logic here, the net result is confusion for the
user. IMHO, it's folly to mix the two solutions. Either a card should be
100% original text (possibly with errata) or it should be 100% MRP. A
mixture of the two (original text and MRP stats) is just going to confuse
more folks than it will help.

For now, CV keeps the cards as the original text, but through the use of
tags on older cards, MRP'd information can be added to those cards to
increase their utility within searches and such. After V1.3 gets released
and my life stabilizes a bit, I'll be open to hearing arguments for
changing this behavior. :-)
