Ok, went back to codex and took a look.
The stat line gives the armor save a 5+
Under the special rules, it lists "Hellion skyboard & hellglaive: Special
rules apply to the Hellion skyboard and hellglaive. These are included in
the wargear seciton of this codex."
So, I am assuming that the save will become 4+ as it doesn't say "the
modifiers are reflected in the profile above' or anything like that.
Does this make sense or am i just too drunk ;]
Thanks,
Paul
And also, the Hellions are a subsect of the wych cult, but not actually
wyches. Wyches are specifically the DE that dedicate themselves to
gladiatoral combat. Hmm...so i guess a wych could ride a skyboard in the
arena....kinda like the game that was in that older white dwarf....but this
is neither here nor there =]
Thanks Mr. Skrill Keeper

IIRC Hellions are Wyches, and thus have a base 6+ save. The +1 to for the
Skyboard knocks this up to 5+.

It doesn't say that Space Marine Power Armour is included in a Space
Marine's 3+ save, does it? Also, bear in mind that the statline is exactly
the same as the basic Wych, apart from the save - which is just one better.

It makes sense, I just don't think you're right.

Point taken. However, the skyboard is not a piece of armor. It is a
wargear item and is also listed under the special rules.
another situation : Incubi using punishers. What strength are they? 3.
But using the punisher they are 4. Using your logic on the skyboard, they
incubi will only be S3 with the punisher. (both are wargear items included
in the cost of the unit, both are listed under special rules).

Incubi don't have the +1 Strength for Punishers permanently added
into their statline because you can field Incubi with Shredders and
Blasters, as well as the Incubi Master with whatever you want.
Hellions always come with skyboards, so the improvement is figured
in. The Hellion save is 5+.
