I'm thinking about getting Hero Lab so that I can move my home game from pen and paper to PC aided. My game mechanics are based on hitting a target number on d6. The target number can exceed 6 (re-roll 6s and add to the die result).
I'm reviewing the demo of the Authoring Kit. The Dice Roller doesn't accommodate my game mechanics. I get the error message, "The success threshold must be between 2 and the number of sides on the dice."
How would I go about allowing for this game mechanic? If I can easily solve this then I think Hero Lab may just be the tool I'm looking for.
