Thanks! I just imported the new data file, tried to use the Bokkor character and got a warning message [One or more of the letters in "Bokkors are feared voodoo" could not be represented in a text field]. This appears to be in the NPC/Special Abilities section by the looks of it?

I assume you're leaving in the special characters for when Hero Lab does support them?

Hmm... I don't get a warning at all when loading that portfolio. The only thing in there that's a special character, though, is under the NPC block that I titled "Special Abilities". In that one I put it in as "{b}Sending:{b} As an action", to bold the word "Sending" but it seems to have replaced that with " "~[!b]Sending:~[!n] As an action". Since I'm not getting the error at all, though, maybe you could try just removing the "~[!b]" and "~[!n]" characters and see if that clears it up?

Then again I'm not sure what the point of that NPC tab really is since it doesn't even print any of that stuff on the character sheet or Tactical Console or anything. I guess I could just remove those characters if that's causing folks any issues. To be honest I'm still not really sure what the best way is for setting up NPCs such that a GM would most find them useful when using Hero Lab to manage them. :( I almost wonder fi we are missing a bit of functionality to compared to what is in some of the other game systems or something. (Well, beyond not have any good alternate "Custom Output" sheets, that is.)

Ok, found it. In the NPC > Description field, in your second paragraph you have the line

"Most bokkors are powerful members of the dreaded Red Sect, with ample resources—both magical and mundane."

Hero Lab (at least the Mac version) doesn't like the dash between resources and both. It either needs to be a small dash (-) or something else... just not that one.

Ah, so it's a Mac version not liking an emdash. Well, that's a pain. I've got them all over the place since they are so very commonly used in a lot of Pinnacles' text (and I mainly just cut-and-paste). I guess the big question is, does it just give a warning but still loads everything fine? If so it might just be easier for me to leave it as is. I'm sure you'll find the same problem in some of the other files, too. :(

It loads fine once you've passed the error message. It does also say that Hero Lab is working on adding support for these extra characters, but not when.

It also doesn't like the {b} tags, but those don't error

Ok, I guess I'll just leave it then. I prefer trying to keep as close to the actual text as possible when I can. Thanks for looking into that, and hopefully Lone Wolf will get the fix in on those soon.
