Datafile Downloads not working?

When I download the datafiles via the website and from within Army Builder, Card Vault and Hero Lab the download site looks dead and the files are corrupt/empty (3kb in size) irrespective of the download.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

David

The server on our end is running fine and no one else has reported any problems. So this is definitely something local to your computer.

As for what is going on, you either have Windows Firewall blocking our products or your internet security software is blocking them. The fact that all the files are 3KB in size implies that your internet security software is blocking them and returning an error webpage. Take a look at the content of one of the files in your web browser and you'll likely see the error information you need to correct the problem.

Yikes! Since Hero Lab doesn't use datafilesrus.com, your first email led me to believe you were having problems with the Updates mechanism itself - not the specific updates. It seems there is a major problem with datafilesrus.com and we're now investigating what's wrong. Stay tuned for an update....

Well, it appears something major has gone awry with the domain and it's going to take quite awhile to get things sorted out. So Robert and Adam proposed moving to a new domain as a quick solution that would minimize the downtime. They say that they have migrated everything to a new domain and I've updated everything on our server to point to the new domain instead. Since the DNS info has not yet propagated to me, I can't actually test anything here, but everything *should* now be configured properly on our end and *should* just work as soon as the DNS sorts itself out.

The new domain name is www.datafilecentral.com and replaces the old datafilesrus.com domain. All authors should start using this new domain immediately. Assuming Adam and Robert are correct, everything should resume working for everyone as soon as the DNS info for the new domain propagates to your ISP.

Fingers and toes are all crossed. Let me know if things aren't working for anyone by this tomorrow evening (Pacific time).
