d20pfsrd Data Sets - Powered by Hero Lab....

My vote is Shadow you're crazy!!!! lol.

I think that the stock could just be kept on the repository and taken out of the download. The CB is getting pretty big, and just eats up space on peoples Ipads.

To be honest I have not seen any of the .por files as of yet. All my .por files are the ones I have created. If you are talking about the ones in the drop down menus for races and or classes...
Nope I am talking about the 5,000+ .por files that are setup for use with the CB and are stored as zip file downloads from d20pfsrd. If you are making your own encounter .por files your doing double work. All the monsters and encounters for a Adventure Path or Paizo Module is 100% done for you. And I am not talking about the .stock files

Click HERE. Then find the folder called "Community Bestiary". Download for example the "AP01 Rise of the Runelords Anniversay PART1.zip" file and open it up. Inside is a folder for chapter 1 to 3. Inside that is each section of each chapter broken down and inside of those sub-folders is the Encounter .por. You can easily import this file into HL by going to "Portflio->Import Hero from Portfolio". Select ALL and you have all the monsters pre-setup for the encounter. Start the Tactical Counsel and run the encounter.

Isn't that 100% easier than trying to find monsters in the .stock files? From what I see the stock files are so confusing that many people are running a addon search tool to try and find stuff in it.

If I am wrong I am wrong but I just going by feedback that the zip files are easier to work with and less cumbersome.

I think it's a lot of files that people are generally only going to need at specific times - better for them to grab them then, than have everyone have them all the time.

That said, I greatly appreciate all the hard work done by all the authors on the data sets.

PFRPG_Rise_of_the_Runelords_Traits.user
This file has problems.

One, the City Born items are done as Trait bonuses and not as normal bonuses:

So:
~+1 Ref
#applybonus[BonTrait,hero.childfound[svRef],1]
~+2 Bluff
#applybonus[BonTrait,hero.childfound[skBluff],2]

instead of:
~+1 Ref
hero.child[svRef].field[Bonus].value += 1
~+2 Bluff
#skillbonus[skBluff] += 2

But the more immediate problem is these are not Traits.
PZO9000-SE says "you may choose any of the following feats as a bonus feat during character creation." but that doesn't make them Traits for all.

So having them listed in Traits is a problem for some. Can we get all these "house rule" type rules interpretations behind a "Rise of the Runelords Feats as Traits" source?

Well this was asked for so many times by the community that I created them and rolled them into the CB. And when converted to traits I used normal trait rules and made them give a Trait bonus. The original background feats are part of core HL so if you don't want to use the traits you don't have too.

Is it worth a source for I think 5 traits? Especially with how many sources are in HL now? Maybe just a better text note that these where converted 3.5 background feats would work?

Shadow IS crazy, in a good way!

I vote "Dump the Stock files", it's just confusing and clutters things up. Although, on a side note, I'd love it if the Portfolio zips included a single Portfolio that included all the NPC's from the module in a single .por file (just 1 copy each) in addition to the individual .por files.

When using a VTT, it's easier to set the tokens up if you have 1 file open for statblock copying purposes.

d20pfsrd - Super Genius Games (vX.XX)

I have combined together the work from the community on their SGG work into a single downloadable package. For those using the 3PP stuff from Super Genius Games this is great little addon. After installing this data set you will have a new books that can be check marked in the Configure Your Hero window listed under the "Super Genius Games" parent source.

after the last lwd update ravenX's d20pfsrd forgotten realms update, halfelves dont count as halfelves for feats. was easily fixed by using the editor, and checking counts as half elves, also added a replaces thing id for half elves because it started showing the regular half elves as well as the forgotten realms version after the update.

Earth-Infused Error

When I had the template Earth-Infused from the Advanced Bestiary bu Frumple I get the following error.

Attempt to access field 'abValue' that does not exist for thing 'selSTypMov'
Location: 'eval' script for Thing 'tmuEthInfu' (Eval Script '#1') near line 11

Thanks for the info. Will see about fixing for the next release.

In the future if you can keep the error reports to the "d20pfsrd Data Sets - Powered by Hero Lab...." thread so its all together it would be appreciated. :)

Or if Mathias is so kind he can move it their.

Update 6/14/2013: Frumple has submitted a fix for this. So the next release will have it fixed.

The jotunblood template (Advanced Bestiary) doesn't grant weapon proficiency to the new size of weapon.

Example
Giant, Frost is large
Jotunblood increases size to huge
Adding a huge weapon to the creature displays the not proficient symbol and reflects the penalty in the stat block.

"Jotunblood Giant" is an inherited template that can be added to any Humanoid with the Giant subtype (referred to hereafter as the base creature). A Jotunblood Giant uses all the base creature's statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

CR: Same as the base creature +4.

Size and Type: The base creature’s type does not change. Its size increases by one category over the base creature (maximum Colossal). An increase in size will affect its AC, attack bonus, natural armor, Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Fly and Stealth skills, and CMB/CMD. Changes are noted in the appropriate section.

Ugh. I checked out what I wrote for the jotunblood and it looks like the issue comes from me trying to workaround the standard was templates change size. I did this because I couldn't get trample to display the correct damage if the creature had a slam attack. (It displayed the damage of creature of much higher size).

I will try to get it rewritten for the next community files release. In the meantime does anyone know a way to pull/copy a single tag from one bootstrap to another?

Not sure if this has been asked before:

I purchased the official Tomb of Horrors Complete package, and have previously loaded the Community Users files as well. However, my preference is to have only one version of the files on my PC.

What files do I need to delete to make sure that the community users version is completely removed from my PC?

Tools menu...manage third party updates should let you delete them as a group if you originally added them all from a .hl file.

Tomb of the Iron Medusa:
Module_Tomb of the Iron Medusa.user: <usesource source="srcTombIrM"/>

This file contains items that are not PFS legal without a chronicle sheet.

Infensus Mucro
Gown of Resistance, +4

I've built the Gown for the future PFS-Boons files.

If we could mark the Gown and the Mucro in the file as not legal for PFS, this would help.
