No not yet but sense everyone, including myself, will be at GenCon LW was nice enough to get me a pre-release copy to test with. This way if any issues found we don't leave the community stranded with broken stuff. :)

Good thing too as another bootstrap timing issue showed up that broke a class in the CB.

See, now this is another reason why I'm such a fan of LW as a whole! They won't just leave us hanging!

Have fun at GenCon! Sad that I have to miss this year! :(

I'm not at GenCon... I'm not even in that country... :(
I feel excluded.;)

I'm going to sulk in the corner alone, listening to my Radiohead albums.

:D

Updated to 7.18 and am now getting a timing error when I load, but I didn't get it after I first updated. I'm running the latest version of the Community Bestiary.

Can someone tell me where this particular file is hiding?

The data files could not be loaded due to errors. Hero Lab will now attempt to load them in recovery mode. Once loaded, you can access the editor as normal to correct any errors.

The following errors occurred:

Thing 'cuUWPain' - Condition phase/priority (First/5000) for bootstrap thing 'cuUWGDVamT' occurs after earliest rule/script (First/2500)

You need to update the CB to v2.15 as that fixes your issue. Always update the CB to the latest version.

I have the auto update enabled, but I think the problem is that I'm running duplicates of the Pathfinder data files for a couple of homebrew games. The original files don't get the error, but my duplicate datasets do.

I'm guessing that the autoupdate doesn't update my duplicates. Is there a way to make that happen, or do I have to manually copy those files over each time there's an update?

You'll need to import the file into your other datasets. You don't need to download it again, just load pathfinder.hl, and make sure you change the path for the update.

I saw that you added an antipaladin archetype for Way of the Wicked, but it seems like it's just to remove the alignment restriction. Do you have plans to add the Lord of Darkness archetype presented in book 5 of Way of the Wicked?
The archetypes where finished and will be released "soon" with the next release of the CB and CPP. Actually I think Book 6 was just finished so I am going to try and add its stuff quick before I release.

Also correct the Antipaladin archetype is just to remove the alignment restriction as suggested in Book 1. This way you could have NE or LE antipaladins which work better as PCs for this campaign.

Ok, first I want to say, you guys have done a great job on the Psionics work so far. All the stuff that I've looked at so far has worked smoothly, with no errors that I could see. It all really does work on the basic level it's supposed to.

Now, that being said, I have brought this up several times.

Soulknife Enhanced Mindblade is not covered. At all.

The class is selectable, you can gain the levels and the feats and all that.

There is still no way to configure how your mindblade works.

All you get is the basic mindblade with no enhancements automatically in the weapons tab. Not even the Basic Pluses to the weapon directly.

I have said it before, and I will say it again, the soulknife Mindblade is it's ENTIRE SCHTICK. ALL of it's abilities and bladeskills and what have you ties back into the Soulknife being able to configure his mindblade with bonuses.

I have even made suggestions as for how to give us a patch over this until you can figure out the proper way to do it, and that's to give us the Mindblade on the selectable weapons list for making custom magic weapons!

Surely if it's showing up on the weapons tab as the basic one, it's not too much of a stretch to put it on the weapons list itself?

Why is this class feature being ignored? If it's because of the Basic unenchanted one that shows up on the weapons tab automatically, that's not a great help.

I seem to be ranting on this a little but it's because I keep bringing it up and getting no response.

@Zerotraveler

1. Not everything is as cut and dry in the editor as it is in writing in a book. 3PP companies are notorious for writing an ability that sounds soooo simple and cool on paper, but actually converting that to HL can takes days, weeks or cannot be done at all. All because of a word or sentence that is simple to write. (Usually because it goes against the rules of the game, but not always.) This also means that getting things to show on certain selections in HeroLab that look like it would look like it would not be a "stretch" to add.

2. ShadowChemosh is one person. Not a group of people using the same name. He has a life, and a job, outside of HeroLab. He does not get paid for doing the CB. He does it because it is fun for him. That being said, it is not possible to keep up with everything that is published. This is why their are contributors to the CB. (And when people demand that things be done, then it becomes a job (that he is not being paid for) and is no longer fun.)

3. If there is something that you want to be added that no one is working on, feel free to work on it yourself and contribute it to the CB. That is how it is able to continue to grow. Plus it is fun to learn. (Even when someone else writes the code, Shadow still has to review it to make sure it does not cause other problems, so just because you submit it one week doesn't mean it will be released immediately. The reviewing takes a lot of time to.)

So it is not that something is being "ignored" as you mention above. It is because someone has not taken the initiative to work on it and present it to him for inclusion. If you expect him to do everything, then you will be waiting for a VERY long time.

Note: I am not trying to speak for anyone, including Shadow, just giving you some perspective that has been repeated many times, in many places, on many posts, all over the board.

P.S. Since contributors do things based on what they want to work on, when someone starts demanding that something be done, it makes them shy away from it a lot of times.

Part of the problem with the editor and 3PP releases isn't always that it's impossible to code an ability, so much as we would need to get into the source code to actually make it work. Nothing is cut and dry for those of us who do data entry. There are times when It is next to impossible to do something with simple scripts and tags. Unfortunately without source code access we can't always create a quick fix for things.

Many of us have lives outside coding that make it difficult to get things done quickly as well. Family lives, day jobs, etc. that all interfere with how much 3 PP product we can work on. I've had no time this year for 3 PP data entry personally.

I don't get the time I'd like to contribute as much stuff as I want to. I do things based upon what I need for my campaigns or if something crops up in a game session that will be useful later. Any large projects I tackle take months to code not hours. Way of the Wicked being a prime example.

That being said I do take offense at having an irate post levied at the CB contributors, just because something doesn't work as you'd like it too.

As RavenX and Umarian state we are not contributing our own time to enter 3PP work on a demand as you want it basis, it gets input as and when we can spare a few moments.

I can't comment on the psionics stuff as I haven't done any of it, but even the simple stuff can be problematic to implement.

Zerotraveler when you've taken the time to code some stuff yourself you'll appreciate just what is involved to make something work as intended.

To elaborate on what Bodrin and Umarian have said, basically I only make time for uncompensated projects when my Campaigns have an immediate need for the data in question. My contribution to Psionics Unleashed was a direct result of needing Psionics options to run a Pathfinder based Dark Sun campaign. Since I needed the data back then, I made time to crunch through it when I had available free time. I don't find that I need the expanded data, as Dark Sun doesn't require it, so I have little motivation, if any at all, to work on it. As I said, we aren't compensated for this, and we share what we do free of charge. If you'd like to add new data and think you can tackle some of the "missing options" feel free to open up the editor and give it a try, but understand we don't take on these workloads for the people we share the data with here, we mostly do it for our own needs, share it, and leave it for you to expand on usually.

z_t: I haven't forgot about this issue, but with my normal work schedule and getting a bit done here and there with Psionics Expanded I haven't had an opportunity to look at this in depth.

With the expansions to the Soulknife in PE, I may have to look at this soon. However, like the others have said. If you can figure out a good way to handle this, or even if anyone else can, are more than welcome to post it.

On the topic of PE I've actually started in on at least putting in the text for Soulknife options. Once they're all in as at least selectable options, the real work of scripting begins. That'll be harder since I'm horrid at scripting.

Edit: As far as implementing the SoulKnife as a fully integrated weapon option and ability to enhance it all, I'm right with you. That's one of the biggest features I'm going to be looking at first. Talk about a learning curve.

just so everyone knows I have that issue of the soulknife blades working. It's coming out "soon" with version 2.0 which makes some massive changes and enhancements.
