d20 Release 1.4 Testing and Intergration...

The original comes from Lone Wolf, so I used replace id on the ones in the user-created SC file. I haven't yet created a new thing to replace the Cleric version of the spell and remove it from the list. Also, I didn't add EPH as a source since its from srd, though I can do that if you prefer.

Also, I've gone through a bunch of additional files (70 of them to be exact) and removed book titles from the names of various things. I can put these in the dropbox if you want, though with so many files I worry about other people editing their own copies and wanting to drop it in as well. Something we'll need to be mindful of.

I've only just picked this thread up, as I was about to remove RotW tags from the RotW - Races file. I second removing the book tags from any named fields as it tidies up the selection lists!
If the data has already been edited then I shall not continue.

Regarding the duplicate, Erratad or diferrently referenced spells, powers and other data I vote for the newest printing of the info. I've tried to integrate all errated data for the Magic Item Compendium weapon powers and the Specific weapons and I think it should be maintained throughout the community files.

A note in the File history and the notes column referencing the errata source would explain to anyone questioning the missing data.

Yea, its done. Except there are two weapons (Blowgun and Needles, Blowgun) that have (DMG) in their name. I can't find what file they're in.

I also added a new Telepathic Bond, Lesser spell to the Spell Compendium file that removes the original from the Cleric's spell list. I added both SRD d20 psionics and Spell Compendium as its sources. I also double-sourced the other spells of the same name and used replace id to remove the originals. If you want to do something different, its in dropbox. I also added all the files with the name fixes.

The data inside the test relic file is incorporated into MIC - specific weapons it will need to be removed before 1.4 release is live. Otherwise duplicate errors will arise!!

I believe the file name is 'MIC - specific weapons' though I don't have it in front of me.

Thanks for pointing out where those weapons are. I may not get to it this weekend, but I should be able to deal with that first thing monday morning.

Also I think it's better to leave the book initials after the name of the feat, otherwise how will the user search for just the feats from one book?

I can't find any file named Relic in the 1.3 build. What's the files full name?

Unless it's been removed already the file is A Test Relic.user. I'll look in dropbox myself and delete if it's there!

It looks like it was removed, it may have been a stray file on my system that got caught up I. A copy paste session.

The MIC -Specific Weapons file is my submission to 1.4 release. All the text is in but the [Relic] item codes aren't. Also other quirky bits of code for some other weapons need to be developed too.

I find the book names after the thing name annoying.
Allowing book by book searching can be accomplished better by putting it as a line in the description?
"Appears in Complete Divine"
?

I agree, put it in the description text not the name!

Mic - Weapon Crystals file has been completed and placed in 1.4 release folder for testing. All the Augment Crystals from the Magic Item Compendium have now been entered seperately.

Fair enough, as long as the user can still narrow the search to one book or another.
I had high hopes at one point that d20 would get the same treatment as Pathfinder where the Source (ie book) would automatically get shown when selecting spells or feats. It was a really nice addition they did for Pathfinder but does not look they are going backwards to add stuff like that to d20.

It would also be nice if we could add to the drop down menu to have more than just "Everything" and "Only valid items". If we could add some custom options to that (such as "certain books or classes of books), it would be a nice addition I think.

The Brutal Throw feat (CAdv) does not seem to do anything.

Steps to reproduce
1) Select some sort of giant as the race
2) Give it a Fighter level
3) Select a few ranged weapons, either missiles (eg bows) or thrown
4) Select Brutal Throw feat
The Attack bonuses for the various weapons do not change whether you have the feat or not.

Thanks!
I fixed the feat(thingid.fBrutThrow) in CAdv - Feats.user to now correctly look for thrown weapons and apply Str to the Ranged Attack value. I updated the .user file in the drop box.

That's a pretty quick turnaround.
I'm unable to edit at the moment, life is getting in the way!
Would anybody be willing to look at the strongarm bracers to code the oversize weapon penalty negation. If not I'll have to put it on hold for a month or so until I get the time.
Thanks
I think it's in the Mic files

The script I found was their it just needed some changes to have it read thrown weapons and add only to the Ranged Attack Bonus.

The elf domain exists, but it does not actually grant the power (Point Blank Shot feat) or have an associated list of domain spells.
I have this fixed also and put into the dropbox.

The domains in the Spell Compendium are all missing their Domain tags or in this case Domain.Elf. This seemed to be the missing piece to setting up the Spells to be correctly attached to the domain. Don't have time to re-do all the spells/domains so guess will wait and see if anyone mentions any others. :)

Since it has been a month from last update, I am dropping the files I have done for 1.4 into the dropbox. Mostly MM races and related things. They are marked with "v1.4" at the end of the file name.
Awesome thanks. Though don't really need the v1.4 stuff as the Release 1.4 folder sort of covers that actually and will mean I will have to rename all those files before dropping them into my HL data folder. :(

I am getting ready for a business trip actually to Orlando, FL so I am leaving Sunday and will be gone all next week. So I won't really be available during the trip.

So Lawful_G if you want to grab the stuff out of release 1.4 and do some quick testing that would be great. As soon as I get back I will do the same and then we can get this release out.

I have started but not finished a html file to include with the releases that will have a compilation of the changes. Plus their was talk from others about including Editor information for those that want to edit/work inside the d20 community data set.

Anyone have time to put that together? Don't need anything fancy just a text document or word document would be fine and I can then copy/past it into the html doc.

Thanks
