Is anyone working on a 5E project?

I know Morningstar is going to be the official software, but I really would like easy integration with Realmworks.

I know, legally, game mechanics cannot be protected but certain text can be, so you'd have to be careful of what you could include.

Anyone?

I have a nearly fully working version running (you find some recent Screenshots at EnWorld.org). I will only release anything if I get permission by WotC to do so, though.

Morningstar is the same thing as DungeonScape, isn't it? The authors (trapdoor) and WotC just went separate ways. Why and what this will mean, nobody really knows.

As I was asked by several people, here is the current state of affairs [for my 5E project]:

That "nothing is released yet" from my implementation of D&D 5e for Herolab is NOT due to technical reasons. It is due to legal reasons. I would not want WotC to sue me over infringement of intellectual property.
...

I just found your other thread and I was coming here to post a reply to my own question!

Here's to hoping that, now with Trapdoor out of the relationship, Hasbro will allow it!

I'm looking into how hard it will be to make changes to my Castles & Crusades ruleset to work minimally for 5th Ed.

Of course, it's easy to say, as who's every going to know, since we can't pass it around without some nasty C&D letters coming our way.

Any progress on the 5.0 project?

I have the PHB (except some little odd ends) completely implemented. Implementation on the DMG has started. As to the PHB, all spells, feats,
backgrounds, whatever are implemented. I also implemented the DMG
Previews (excepting only legendary items which were too much text to
squeeze on a PowerCard - Legendaries ultimately will probably contain
a reference page number wth some info) and the stuff from the
free PDFs for Rise of Tiamat etc. Support for both Realm Works and
the tactical console works (though only 1 example monster entered in the
tactical console, and the tactical console UI could use some work).

Picked up the DMG last Saturday. I've only read the first couple chapters, as well as poking around the adventure generation tables and sentient weapons.

Loving it so far.

As to my 5th Ed plugin for HL, I'm not nearly as far as MagicSN on my C&C repurposing.
