Not trying to whine or anything just curious how the update to the
Lord of the Rings File was coming. I know The Two Towers is out and I
was just curious. Also seeing as how the first three sets
(Fellowship, Mines, Elf Lords) is considered its own Block, shouldn't
it be possible in the Rules Set to have the various Blocks and an
Open format (any card goes). Just curious.

Well, we're trying to clear up some small confusion with Decipher, and their
legal and licensing department. I can fully understand their caution; they
must be as scrupulous as possible when dealing with such high-profile
licenses as Star Trek and LotR.

That said, our handy-dandy volunteer has the text spoilers for TTT, so
hopefully we can get that online soon. We should also be able to add the
first Block to the formats list.

IIRC, there is no completely open format. The best they have uses all the cards
except the Adventure Path, which has to use Two Towers sites.

Having discussed this with Mark, I do believe there will be rules sets for all
the valid tournament formats.

That is correct. The issues regarding data files have finally
been resolved, and so as Tom Lehrer might say, "And now begins the fun."

Mark.

Scientists have shown that the moon is moving away at a tiny yet
measurable distance from the earth every year. If you do the math, you
can calculate that 85 million years ago the moon was orbiting the earth
at a distance of about 35 feet. This would explain the death of the
dinosaurs. Well, the tall ones, anyway. -- Unknown
