Counterpoised maybe? It's from Champions of Balance. A character with the Summon Neutral Monster feat applies it instead of choosing Fiendish / Celestial to his summons. (The Envoy of Balance Prestige Class also has access to it.)
 
Huh. I couldn't add it to the level one summons I was working with earlier, but it was in the list for the octopus I loaded for my level two list...

edit: and only for the octopus.

If you're pulling monsters in from the stock portfolio/encounter builder, they'll come with the minimum possible books turned on. If you want to use a template from another book, you'll need to turn that book on first.
 
Thanks Mathias. I didn't realize that the settings were per-character in the portfolio.

edit: Okay, I went back to my portfolio and changed the Configure Hero settings for each creature and that changed it from a complete creature to a blank character with no skills, feats, all 10s for ability scores, and an illegal race selection.

edit: Started over and just activated Champions of Balance instead of just hitting the use default button and it worked better (albeit taking somewhat longer). Was even able to add a manual +2 Will modifier.

Any chance of getting Summon Good Monster and Summon Neutral Monster added to the Conferred Ability Adjustments list to go with Augment Summoning?
